Finally!

For years I’ve thought about blogging about my travels but kept putting it off. What would I have to say and who would be interested in it? Now I’ve finally committed and hopefully this is the start of something wonderful. So to try to catch up on the last few years, here are some of the places I’ve been 🙂

The Bahamas – The sights and sounds of Junkanoo in Nassau, Boxing Day 2015 and New Year’s Day 2016. There’s much to love about Junkanoo – it’s a celebration enacted by the enslaved during slavery and has been continued by their descendants for centuries since; it showcases the creativity and passion of Bahamians; the grand costumes are a labour of love; it starts in the early hours of the morning; and it features live music.
